I’ve been living in Galena with my husband for almost five years now. Every year, we make it a point to go out on a weekend trip together if not outside of town, within the area as well. At times when we’re too busy to plan a vacation outside the state or the country, we would always end up checking in at Ryan’s Mansion. I can say that they are the finest of all Galena bed and breakfast hotels because of their authenticity and service.

The mansion is an old fashioned building that temporarily takes your mind off reality for the mean time that you are on a vacation. It has an England touch; everything was antique.

To date, we have already tried four of their rooms. The last time, we were directed to a room that they dubbed as Mary’s Suite. It was classic! Right by the door was an antique armor suite that takes you backs history. As we were showed to the room, the bellman brought us to a trip down memory lane as he shared a little historical background about the armor. It was fantastic as it gave us this feeling of nostalgia. For anyone in Galena who’s rooting for a reasonably priced vacation that can ease your mind for your day to day stresses, I would definitely recommend Ryan’s Mansion when it comes to Galena IL lodging.
